Thanksgiving Trip to Mexico

​Thanksgiving is traditionally celebrated with close friends and family. Being part of an immigrant family we started celebrating Thanksgiving in a different way.

Escape from the upcoming winters and cold weather, Mexico’s beaches provide an exciting getaway. We made it an annual tradition to go to an all inclusive resort in Mexico. A short flight makes it all worthwhile where we start at breakfast and have lunch on the beach!! The resort organizes a huge thanksgiving party with lots of food, music and off course turkey.

Its amazing to celebrate thanksgiving with folks from all over the world and share their cultures and perspectives. This time I meet people from Brazil, Mexico, India and US. Diversity but yet incisiveness has broaden my thoughts around this amazing day. Its nice to celebrate thanksgiving not with close family but with folks from different cultures which we meet only for thanksgiving week.
